To produce about 1 gallon (4.5 liters) of homemade wine, you only need asmall set of basic winemaking equipment. Here's what most beginner winemakers use:

Essential Equipment

Fermentation Vessel (Primary Fermenter)
Food-grade bucket or wide-mouth fermenter.
Capacity: 1.5–2 gallons is ideal for a 1-gallon batch because fermentation creates foam and gas.
Used for the first stage of fermentation.

Secondary Fermenter (Carboy or Demijohn)
A 1-gallon glass or PET plastic carboy/demijohn.
Used after the vigorous fermentation phase for clearing and aging the wine.
Helps minimize oxygen exposure.
Airlock and Bung
Airlock allows carbon dioxide to escape while preventing air and contaminants from entering.
Bung (stopper) holds the airlock in place.
Siphon (Racking Cane and Tubing)
Used to transfer wine between vessels without disturbing sediment.
Helps improve clarity and reduce off-flavors.
5anitizing Supplies
One of the most important items.
Winemakers typically use no-rinse sanitizers.
Hydrometer with sample tube(Recommended)
Measures sugar content and fermentation progress.
Helps estimate alcohol content and determine when fermentation is complete.
Measuring and Mixing Tools
Long spoon (food-grade plastic or stainless steel).
Measuring cups/spoons.
Funnel.
Bottles and Closures
Six standard 750 mL wine bottles will hold roughly 1 gallon of wine.
Corks and a corker, or alternatively swing-top bottles.

Optional but Helpful

Thermometer: Monitor fermentation temperature.
Auto-siphon: Makes transfers easier.
Fine mesh bag: Useful if fermenting whole fruit.
